Everywhere you turn, a condo development is going up: a cookie-cutter building with some condos, a lobby and a parking garage. But what happened to a sense of community? That’s why we’re not just building a building. We’re building an entire neighborhood. Shops, restaurants, parks, a public square with a fire pit and a river walk with boat landings. After all, a neighborhood isn’t just homes, but the space between them. Space to breath, space to gather, space to throw a ball or grill a burger, space to walk the dog and meet the neighbors. That’s what makes a neighborhood.

A bar fight always makes a good story. This one made a good beer. 1886, Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Louie Eishold, local ladies man, was hit over the head with a full glass of beer and killed. Legend has it, the fracas was over a neighbor’s young, stunning wife. Legend also has it, an onlooker pried the beer from Louie’s dying hands and toasted his lustful life. We do the same with our Louie’s Demise Amber Ale.
